DRILL

The Methodology

HOW THE
DRILL WORKS.

Every investigation follows the same standard. Every claim links to a public document. Every document was already public before we referenced it. This page explains the architecture — how we drill, what we find, and what the terms mean.

What Is This

THE
BASE
LAYER

Every system has a surface story — the one you're shown. Underneath is sediment: the narrative, the spin, the theory that's just wrong enough to be dismissed. Underneath that is the base layer: the documented truth, recorded in public filings that most people never read because nobody put them in one place and followed the money all the way to the end of the chain.

Base Layer HQ is an investigative platform. We drill through the surface. We follow the documents. We publish the receipts. No opinion. No agenda. Just what the documents say.

Layer 01 — Surface
What You've Been Told
The headline. The official statement. The press release. The story that was handed to you already shaped and already concluded.
Layer 02 — Sediment
The Theory
The conspiracy. The rumor. The "they say." Partially right, partially speculation — and precisely wrong enough to be dismissible.
Layer 03 — Deep Sediment
The Accepted Narrative
The version that made it into textbooks. That got cited in the editorial. That most informed people repeat without ever checking the original source.
Layer 04 — The Base Layer ●
The Documented Truth
SEC filings. FOIA responses. Court records. Congressional testimony. Patent filings. The receipts that were always public. The truth is always more disturbing than the theory.

The Methodology Every investigation follows the same standard: public documents only. SEC filings. FOIA responses. Court records. Congressional testimony. Patent filings. Peer-reviewed studies. If it isn't already public, it doesn't go in the report.
The Architecture Before you pull a file, understand what you're holding — and who's holding it with you. Eight terms define the full operation. Every core sample, every drill site, every role in this investigation maps to one of them.
The Standard The base layer doesn't discriminate because the capital doesn't discriminate. The same architecture producing extraction at scale — without requiring malice or conspiracy. Just documents. Just receipts. Just what's already public.

The Drill Rig

FIELD EQUIPMENT.

Every investigation uses the same six source types. Each one is publicly accessible. Each one is linked in every report. If a claim can't be sourced to one of these — it doesn't make it into the core sample.

Source Documents — The Drill Rig
§
SEC Filings
10-Ks, S-1s, proxy statements, 13-F disclosures. Where public companies disclose what they'd rather not.
FOIA Responses
Freedom of Information Act disclosures. Government documents released under legal obligation.
Court Records
Dockets, filings, transcripts, consent decrees. What was argued and decided under oath.
Congressional Testimony
Hearings, committee reports, floor statements. What was said on the record.
Patent Filings
Documented proof of intent. When companies patent something, they describe exactly what they built and why.
Peer-Reviewed Studies
Academic research that survived scrutiny. The findings industry groups pay to suppress.

Field Glossary

EIGHT TERMS.

Term 01
Drill Site
A system under investigation. Each drill site is identified, logged, and assigned a case number. Every site is a standalone investigation with its own core sample report.
Term 02
Core Sample
The completed investigation report. Chapters, source documents, and the documented base layer — from surface sediment all the way down. This is the product.
Term 03
The Receipts
The actual source documents. Every claim links back to a public record. If it can't be sourced publicly, it doesn't go in the report. Period.
Term 04
Operator
A subscriber with full access clearance. Operators receive every core sample on drop day — before public sale, before the price increases. The full archive is theirs.
Term 05
Field Analyst
A community contributor who flags potential drill sites — systems, patterns, or documents that warrant investigation. Field Analysts suggest where the drill goes next.
Term 06
Drop Day
The date a new core sample goes live. Operators receive it first. Public access opens after. Price increases follow. The drill never waits.
Term 07
The Resolve
The final chapter of every core sample. Documented strategies, loopholes, and entry points already used by the institutional side of each system investigated. Sourced. Legal. Actionable.
Term 08
The Briefing
The weekly intelligence report. One topic. Three documented facts from public record. Every source linked. Delivered every Tuesday. Free to subscribers.

The Standard

IF IT ISN'T
ALREADY
PUBLIC,
IT DOESN'T
GO IN THE
REPORT.

  • 01Every claim is a public document. SEC filings. FOIA responses. Court records. Congressional testimony. Patent filings. Peer-reviewed studies. Chain of custody visible on every page.
  • 02No opinion. No agenda. No enemies. The architecture does the work. We document how the system was designed — and by whom. The receipts speak for themselves.
  • 03No leaked or confidential documents. If a document is already public, publishing it is journalism, not liability. We never solicit, receive, or publish anything that wasn't already accessible.
  • 04Surface to base layer on every drill. Every investigation goes deeper than the theory. The documented truth is always more disturbing than what people believe.
  • 05The other side's receipts. Every investigation documents the official defense of the system — and what the defenders file with the government when they say so. The receipts exist on both sides.

Now That You Know How It Works
